As a matter of convenience, members of the public are invited to listen, observe and participate in public meetings by Internet video conference. Seating capacity at the City’s public meetings may be limited for distancing purposes. Should attendance exceed seating capacity, persons may not be allowed into the meeting room. Anyone turned away at the door may tune into the meeting by way of the Zoom app (re: Meeting ID 801-559-1126, password 08232021). Unvaccinated attendees are asked to mask.
  1. Proclamation claiming the week of September 17th through September 23rd as Constitution Week
  2. Approval of the minutes of the August 9, 2021, regular meeting of the City Council.
  3. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the execution of 1) an agreement between the City and EMS Management & Consulting, Inc. for their provision of ambulance billing services and 2) the related business associates agreement
  4. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the City Manager to offer continuing medical coverage to eligible employees (namely a) 20 years of City service at any age or b) 10 years of City service who are eligible for normal retirement benefits and who elect to retire between September 1, 2021 through May 1, 2022
  5. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the sale or disposal of certain surplus property
  6. Consideration: Ordinance appointing Heather Richards as the City Clerk of Mountain Brook.
  7. Comments from residents and attendees.
  8. Announcement: The next regular meeting of the City Council is September 13, 2021, at 7:00 p.m.
  9. Adjourn.

  5. Amendment to City Code section 2-295 to add additional duties for the Board of Landscape Design-Tyler Slaten
  6. Waste Management Representatives to discuss current garbage/trash/recycling issues with the Mayor and City Council-Mike Mitchell of Waste Management
