As a matter of convenience, members of the public are invited to listen, observe and participate in public meetings by Internet video conference. Presenters and others interested in a particular matter for discussion are encouraged to attend the meeting in-person. The City is not responsible for technical issues that may occur that interfere with the virtual meeting. The City Council, at its sole discretion, may proceed with its in-person business meeting regardless of whether virtual attendees can hear and/or observe the proceedings. The City intends to make the meeting available by way of the Zoom app (re: Meeting ID 801-559-1126, password 01242022). Unvaccinated in-person attendees are asked to mask.
  1. Alabama State representative, David Faulkner, to present check to Mountain Brook in the amount of $20,000 for the Pickle Ball court.
  2. Approval of the minutes of the January 10, 2022, regular meeting of the City Council.
  3. Consideration: Resolution accepting the professional services proposal submitted by Rob Walker Architects, LLC, with respect to the architectural for bullet resistant windows for City Hall.
  4. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the execution of a professional services agreement between the City and Schoel Engineering Company, Inc. with respect to additional consulting services associated with the drainage improvements at Mountain Brook Junior High.
  5. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the execution of a professional services agreement between the City and Schoel Engineering Company, Inc. with respect to additional consulting services associated with the Canterbury Road Drainage Study.
  6. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the execution of a contract between the City and ESO with respect to the RMS and CAD interface for the fire department.
  7. Consideration: Resolution re-appointing K.C. Hairston as a Municipal Court Judge of the City of Mountain Brook, with the term to end January 25, 2024.
  8. Consideration: Resolution accepting the professional service proposal submitted by Nimrod Long Associates with respect to the landscape design services for adding parking spaces at Jemison Park and authorizes execution of an agreement for the same.
  9. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the sale or disposal of certain surplus property.
  10. Consideration: Resolution accepting the professional services agreement submitted by Skipper Consulting, Inc. with respect to on-call traffic engineering services.
  11. Comments from residents and attendees.
  12. Announcement: The next regular meeting of the City Council is February 14, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.
  13. Adjourn.

  2. Approval of the minutes of the December 13, 2021, regular meeting of the City Council.
  3. Approval of the minutes of the December 17, 2021, special meeting of the City Council.
  4. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement between the City and United Ability, Inc. (dba Gone for Good Document Destruction and E-Waste Recycling) with respect to a community document destruction and e-waste recycling event to be held in Mountain Brook.
  5. Consideration: Resolution amending the City’s Storm Water Management Program Plan.
  6. Consideration: Resolution accepting the professional services proposal submitted by Brasher Design Studio with respect to the development of a Conceptual Master Plan for Canterbury Park, Mountain Brook Parks Monument Signage and Crestline Tot Lot Conceptual Master Plan.
  7. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the execution/renewal of the MWCF Deductible Addendum-2022 with respect to the City’s high deductible workers’ compensation policy.
  8. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the execution of 1) an agreement between the City and Applied Business Services, Inc. for their debt recovery and collection services and 2) the related business associates agreement.
  9. Announcement: The next regular meeting of the City Council is January 24, 2022, 7:00 p.m.
