As a matter of convenience, members of the public are invited to listen and observe in public meetings by Internet video conference. Presenters and others interested in a particular matter for discussion are encouraged to attend the meeting in-person. The City is not responsible for technical issues that may occur that interfere with the virtual meeting. The City Council, at its sole discretion, may proceed with its in-person business meeting regardless of whether virtual attendees can hear and/or observe the proceedings. The City intends to make the meeting available by way of the Zoom app (re: Meeting ID 801-559-1126, password 02262024).
  1. Presentation of the annual financial audit of the City as of and for the year ended September 30, 2023.
  2. Approval of the minutes of the February 12, 2024, regular meeting of the City Council.
  3. Consideration: Resolution ratifying the professional service proposal with MAK Engineering LLC for the storm shelter review at Fire Station No. 2.
  4. Consideration: Resolution accepting the proposal with Mobile Communications America for the location of Amplifier and base radio at Fire Station No. 2.
  5. Consideration: Resolution accepting the proposal with BHATE for the construction materials testing and IBC Special Inspection Services for Fire Station No. 2.
  6. Consideration: Resolution accepting the proposal with Alscan with respect to the video surveillance system and access control system at Fire Station No. 2.
  7. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the sale or disposal of certain surplus property.
  8. Consideration: Resolution approving the contract with LibraryPass for the O’Neal Library.
  9. Consideration: Resolution authorizing the issuance of a purchase order with respect to labor and materials for the Mayor’s deck project.
  10. Consideration: Resolution establishing the Environmental Sustainability committee for the City of Mountain Brook, defining its purpose and outlining its duties.
  11. Consideration: Resolution appointing Clay Ragsdale to the Environmental Sustainability committee for a term of three years, ending on February 26, 2027.
  12. Consideration: Resolution appointing Laney DeJonge to the Environmental Sustainability committee for a term of three years, ending on February 26, 2027.
  13. Consideration: Resolution appointing Jeffrey Lisenby to the Environmental Sustainability committee for an initial term of two years, ending on February 26, 2026.
  14. Consideration: Resolution appointing Emily Debuys to the Environmental Sustainability committee for an initial term of two years, ending on February 26, 2026.
  15. Consideration: Resolution appointing Helen Harmon to the Environmental Sustainability committee for an initial term of one year, ending on February 26, 2025.
  16. Comments from residents and attendees.
  17. Announcement: The next regular meeting of the City Council is March 11, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.
